By accessing or using the Living Shore website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.
Services Description
Living Shore provides culinary education services including cooking classes, recipe development, consulting, workshops, catering, and private coaching sessions. All services are subject to availability and advance booking requirements.
Booking and Payment
Booking Requirements
- All services require advance booking
- Minimum booking notice varies by service type
- Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of full payment
- You must provide accurate contact and dietary information
Payment Terms
- Payment is due at time of booking
- Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable
- We accept bank transfer and major credit cards
- Payment constitutes acceptance of these terms
Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Cancellations more than 7 days before scheduled service: full refund
- Cancellations 3-7 days before: 50% refund
- Cancellations less than 48 hours before: no refund
- If we cancel for any reason: full refund or rescheduling at your choice
- No-shows are not eligible for refunds
Participant Responsibilities
When participating in our services, you agree to:
- Arrive on time for scheduled sessions
- Disclose all relevant dietary restrictions and allergies in advance
- Follow safety instructions provided by instructors
- Treat instructors, other participants, and facilities with respect
- Not attend sessions if you are unwell or contagious
- Inform us immediately of any injuries or incidents during sessions
Health and Safety
Participation in cooking sessions involves inherent risks including but not limited to cuts, burns, allergic reactions, and other kitchen-related injuries. By participating, you acknowledge these risks and agree that:
- You are physically capable of participating in the activities
- You will follow all safety instructions provided
- You are responsible for disclosing any health conditions that may affect participation
- Living Shore maintains appropriate safety measures but cannot eliminate all risks
Liability and Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Living Shore is not liable for injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation in our services
- You participate at your own risk
- You agree to indemnify Living Shore against claims arising from your breach of these terms
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, recipes, techniques, and methodologies, is the intellectual property of Living Shore or its licensors. You may not:
- Reproduce, distribute, or publish our content without permission
- Use our recipes or techniques for commercial purposes without agreement
- Record sessions without prior written consent
- Remove or alter copyright notices or attributions
Participants may use techniques learned for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Photography and Media
During sessions, we may take photographs or videos for promotional purposes. By participating, you consent to such recording and use unless you notify us in writing before the session begins.
Code of Conduct
We maintain a respectful learning environment. We reserve the right to remove any participant who:
- Behaves disruptively or disrespectfully
- Appears intoxicated or under the influence
- Harasses instructors or other participants
- Violates safety protocols after warning
No refunds will be issued for removal due to conduct violations.
Modifications to Services
We reserve the right to:
- Modify session content based on ingredient availability
- Substitute instructors when necessary
- Adjust session timing or location with reasonable notice
- Cancel sessions due to unforeseen circumstances
Significant changes will be communicated as soon as possible.
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates:
- Are valid for one year from purchase date
- Are non-refundable but transferable
- Must be redeemed in full (no partial use or cash value)
- Are subject to availability at time of booking
Website Use
You agree not to:
- Use the website for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Transmit viruses or malicious code
- Interfere with website functionality or security
- Extract data through automated means without permission
Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of third-party sites. Access them at your own risk.
Disclaimer of Warranties
